So there's a month left until the AP Language test, and I'm quite unprepared, haha. I just have a few questions for you intelligent members of CC.

1) For the analysis essay, my teacher told us not to structure the essay based on rhetorical strategies, but rather than by themes (individual ideas the author uses in the passage itself). I'm not a strong English student, so it takes me a bit longer to recognize "themes." Is it true that I would be penalized if I structure my paragraphs based on rhetorical strategies?

2) My teacher had focused the bulk of class time on the analysis essay. We only did like one synthesis essay. From what I've read on here; I should agree/disagree/qualify, use at least 3 of the documents, analyze how they support my argument. Basically is it like an argumentative essay but with documents given?

3) For the argumentative essay, I've been told to use (in this order): literature, historical events, current events and personal anecdotes. How should I structure the essay though?

4) Any ideas on what the essays might possibly be on?

Feel free to contribute anything! I think at this point I need all the help I can get...
