Bit of a weird question I suppose, but I'm a big soccer fan and watching and supporting the English league takes a big chunk out of my leisure time. I don't know what I'd do with out it.

I'd just like to know how the big the local and international soccer scenes are. Do people get the english league via satelite on college accomodation? Would you be allowed to install a package if not?

If neither is possible, is there anywhere nearby that broadcasts the games and has a lively atmosphere?

What about local soccer support? What's that like?

it’s spelled Ann Arbor, not Ann Arbour, just like it’s spelled harbor, not habour; or labor, not labour; or honor, not honour; or misdemeanor, not misdemeanour

^Unless, of course, the poster is ENGLISH, where that is a perfectly acceptable spelling ;)

Bob, welcome to America. We’re quite passionate about ORS instead of OURS here it seems, but no worries, you’ll be quickly absorbed in the cultural melting pot.

(I jest, sort of, but truthfully, after 8 years, no longer spell OURS )

I don’t go to school there yet but I know a couple games are on ESPN 2 and Fox Sports on the weekends and I think more are on espn3.com. In terms of a lively atmosphere, not many people in this country care about soccer. I would imagine that you’d enjoy football at the big house though.

^I would call that place. But in your dorm on ESPN 2 (major sports channel) you will get EPL games at 8/9 in the morning with pretty good teams. There is also Fox Soccer, doubt you will get it, but I think sports bars will have it and they have a website, I think it’s fox soccer.tv that you can watch some games on then espn3.com too.

My roommate is an international student that always tries to watch EPL games, he’s a big Hotspur fan. You’ll find many websites online that stream sports to your laptop (I use them to watch the Browns games). ESPN3.com though does have a lot of EPL games on it and if you have an XBOX 360 you can watch it on htere as well.
