Did any transfer student have to take an English profiency test like TOEFL or IELTS to register for classes after being admitted into the UW?

I went to middle school, high school in the US, and took 2 college level English composition classes. But I was not born in the US, do I have to take the English profiency test?

Anyway I see that you are already accepted, so that shouldn’t be a problem for you?
The admission office informed me to send in my scores two weeks after I submitted my application. Since they did not contact you, I believe that you’re not required to do so.

This requirement is for registration and not for admission. I am admitted but I heard that some people have to take the proficiency test and wondering if any of you have.

Don’t worry. If you started in 7th grade in America or if you earned an associate in an American college you don’t have to do anything. If you mean the placement test by the proficiency test then no, transfers don’t have to take it.

I read on the UW website that if I have an associate degree then I won’t have to take it (The bad thing is I don’t ), are you sure about the 7th grade markline? I am very worried, since my sister told me financial aid won’t pay for the AEP classes (classes to improve your english) at UW. I am very bad at any pure English test.
