Hey guys,

My English teacher told us around 2 months ago that she'd be retiring after this year. Her class is by far my best humanities class, and so I want to ask her for a college rec. She doesn't communicate much via email or any means of communication other than just direct conversation, so the only safe bet is talking to her in person before the end of this year.

When should I go about asking her for a rec? I'm taking the English final on the last day of school, so I feel like it'd be kind of risky to wait until afterwards to ask her. Conversely, I feel that it'd be awkward to ask her for a rec before she finishes grading all of my work for the year.

When and how would you recommend that I ask her?

Edit: In case you're wondering why I'm awake so late, it's because my IOP is on Monday ;)
