english vs. history at tufts

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone could comment on the english/history departments at Tufts.

Obviously, they are different subjects, but is one considered better than the other?

I'm very interested in both subjects. A great English class is great, and a great history class is great. I'm wondering if either of these departments has a better "track record" with good classes, so to speak.

Thanks!

bump......

I really liked the creative writing class I took through the English department, and had many friends rave about the Hitchcock class offered through that department as well.

In terms of the history department, I only took two classes, both of which I enjoyed very much, but sadly, neither professor is at Tufts anymore.

Try to check out some of the course review websites to see what people are saying. tuftsreviews.com is the one I use most often. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply.

I took creative writing (Poetry, though) as well and really enjoyed it too.
I also took a history course last semester that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I was wondering if anyone who is majoring in either of the subjects (or even both), can offer any information about what to expect from each...

Thanks!

anyone?.......
