Does anybody have any thoughts on the English major and secondary teacher program at TCNJ? How about the 5 year masters program in that tract? Looking for any and all information good or bad. I have apllied as an English major and am trying to find out as much as I can about the major. Thanks.

I know a few people in the English major that really love it. They seem to love the professors and seem happy overall with their experience.

One is trying to do the 5 year masters program (English Masters not Secondary Ed English Masters) but she hasn’t taken grad classes in it yet so I don’t know what to tell you about that.

I know some other people doing the 5 year masters program in Secondary Ed English and they also seem to like it but I think that they have to take 5 classes some semesters which might be overwhelming (but this shouldn’t be too much of a concern).

The 5-year Education program is definitely a good deal in comparison to doing 4 years and then a 2 year masters. That’s an extra year of income and one year less of tuition. That could be a good chunk of change.

Good luck!
