ENGRI 1110 (nanotech)

Can someone comment on how easy/difficult this course is, and how Umbach is as a teacher? It's between this, and ENGRI 1190 (Biomaterials for the Skeletal System).

Umbach is somewhat difficult, but I hear you learn a lot. This course definitely is slightly more difficult than the other ENGRIs, but rewarding if you like nanotech. However, you shouldn’t worry about it right now (ENGRIs are very tough to predict). Relax, and wait till Fall and see if you like it or not. If you don’t like it, then switch out ASAP.

Umbach is a boss. Pay attention in class and in sections though. I’m not sure if he’s changed his course packet yet but some parts of it is hard to understand.

Regardless of your major, nanotech is awesome to know because you will at least learn how silicon chips (and associated devices) work and how they are fabricated.
