Hey I bought the $50!!!!!(ouch) grammatix sat prep packet, and i was wondering if i start prepping now..will i have enough time to get a significant score improvement...maybe if i study an hour a night??

You should probably study about 5 hours a night to see a significant score improvement. You should see some improvement if you study an hour a night but not a gigantic leap of say 200 points.

5 hours!!! lol that's a lot....but do you think that is what i need for the dec sat?

When will you be taking the SAT?

It's important to read and learn from Grammatix, but do most of your practice from TCB's Blue Book.

I agree with krabble. Five hours a night is ridiculous. The amount of studying you do every night depends on when you're taking it, but should not exceed 2 hours. Personally, 1 hour per night is more than enough.

I'm taking the exam in December Krabble88 which is like 3 weeks away

im taking the exam probably in Spring of 2006, ive already started a few hours a night is this overkill considering I am not a complete idiot and I would do well 1200+ on the old SAT totally COLD
