Enough time?

I ran out of time on EVERY section except for the essay! Probably because I didn't study lol. This happen to anyone else?

yeah it happens to me all the time except for the essay and the math section. anyone know what book can improve my reading speed for both reading and science sections?

study under intense time conditions.. like make sure that you stay within the time and force yourself to finish within the time at home.. that'll help you on the real thing.. especially on reading

just by applying slightly better time management on the questions, i was able to boost my score from a 31 to a 34.. just by not freaking out about the time and just going with the flow

i didn't prepare at all, and this was my first ACT. i finished everything within the time limit except 1 math problem.

i had time to go back through my most of my answers on all sections+ the essay. But that was only because I gave myself time limits within a section. Like for the reading, i practiced doing a passage+the questions in 6 minutes for each so i would have time to go through.

i had 8 minutes on the english section, just made it with the reading section, and ran out on math and science.

i had 30 seconds left on english (i get 35's on it, but i always cut it close).. i had 5 seconds left on math (not unusual.. get 36's on it though, so time doesn't matter).. i had like 0.00000000001 seconds left on reading, but i made it in time.. and i had like 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds on science left, but i still miraculously made it somehow

I hate time restraints.

With a fiery passion.

I did except for English and the essay part! I think there was a flaw when I was doing the practice tests - I didn't prepare for the time it would take to bubble in answers! Each bubbling alone probably cost me an extra 2-3 seconds so multiply that by the number of questions per section and there you go. :/

i had nooooooo time on the science at all. i guessed on quite a few. and i was doing so well up to that point...

it really helps to have a watch with you! I tell my friends this over and over, but it REALLY helps from running out of time! Set your watch to 12 to make it easy and check it every 10 problems or so to see how much time you have left.

i only run out of time on reading and science. i had 10 min. on the english and 5 min left on the math.

i use a watch every time that has a stopwatch feature on it.. it really kept me going.. if i hadn't have had that, i would not be doing well at all (on reading and science.. math and english are fine for time)

My proctor decided to use a clock without a seconds' hand, so we got a random number of seconds between 0 and 60 subtracted from our time for each section.

That's stupid. He/She should have brought a watch or something.. or better yet, a timer.

Our proctor used her own timer, so the time was exact for each section.

I ran out of time on every section except english and writing :(

I found this test very easy time-wise. Around 8 minutes left in English, 4 or so in math, 5 seconds in reading, and surprisingly, 5 minutes in science. I just winged my essay so I had 10 minutes left in that.

i had about 10 minutes left in english..5 on reading..and used all the time for math and science reviewing and stuff...esssay dominated me.

I'm almost never pressed for time. I had 5-10 minutes left on every test except math, when I worked right up until time was called.
