I'm pretty sure I've read about it in this forum before, but I can't seem to find it, sorry! :-X

I was waitlisted for the nursing program as a transfer, but accepted to SAS.. if I enroll in SAS now will I still be on the waiting list for nursing? I definitely don't want them to think I'm not interested, but I also don't want to wait around and enroll at the last minute.

Hey thatsthekey,

I think if you enroll to one school within the university and are wait listed at another, the enrollment doesn’t affect you chances at getting accepted to the other school( for you, the school of nursing). If you do get accepted to the school of Nursing, you have to send an email to admission requesting a school change. what will happen is the admissions committee will put the enrollment fee you paid for SAS towards The School of Nursing.
Hope this helps. Again, good luck to you!

I found the follow on Rutgers site: ( http://admissions.rutgers.edu/textonly.asp#02 )

Q: Can I remain on the waiting list at one Rutgers school if I accept admission at another Rutgers school?
A: Because admission from the waiting list is not guaranteed, we encourage you to accept the offer of admission you have received to ensure your place at the University. If we find that we are able to admit you from the waiting list, we will do so.
