I have been put on the waiting list, and I see that they say that they will respond by May 1st. The other schools which accepted me require a response by that date. Is there a chance that wait listed applicants get a response before then? I don’t want to deposit money into a school just to have it go to waste if they eventually accept me.
Also do waitlisted students usually just get denied?
Thanks
Submit your midyear grades and call admissions office. Ask them about what documents they need from you to do further review. If you don’t mind me asking which school waitlisted you?
You are most likely not going to hear back until after the response date. Basically, they wait to see how many people actually enroll and then go to the wait list if they have spots. You’ll have to eat the deposit at whatever place you accepted in the event you want to enroll at Rutgers off of the wait list.
Thanks for the replies.
I applied to Rutgers SAS New Brunswick, I sent them an email last night and plan to call them soon.
My guidance counselor said I should ask if there is any way if I can get off the wait list, which I don’t think there is any.
also, when you submit mid year grades will there be a spot for both marking period one and marking period 2?
My school does not report cumulative first semester grades so I’m unsure of what to enter if that’s what Rutgers is asking for.
@manchmal did you hear back yet?
Not yet, when I emailed them a few months back it also took a while
