Enrolling?

Hello,

So I don't know why but on my admittance letter it said my enrollment (tuition deposit right?) deposit was waived. Am I still going to have to pay the money when I enroll or do I get a refund? Or do I call them up?

How do I enroll on the Web site?

Thanks!

you will have to pay it in the fall. when it says its waived, it means they’ve waived the need for you pay a deposit–it doesn’t mean that you aren’t going to have to pay the full tuition, which is what the deposit goes towards.

Of course I’ll still have to pay full tuition! I’m starting in Summer B by the way. I was just wondering where I confirm my enrollment because it says to do it before May 1st, and when I do confirm will I have to pay the $200?

Starting Summer B here too! :)

You have to pay and confirm your enrollment through the UF Portal by using your Gator Link account. There, you click “charges due” under “student finances” and then you’ll see where you have to pay.

Haha that’s good :D.

And yea, I got it. It said my deposit was waived so I didn’t have to pay and just clicked
“Yes, I want to enroll.”

Very nice

Hope all goes well, you plan on living on campus?

Thanks :).

Yes, I am. How about you? I haven’t received my financial aid information yet though :/.

Yeah same, don’t know which housing I want though even though i already put in my preferences lol

When did you send your FAFSA? You should have gotten an email about it at least

I don’t even know how Summer B housing works…I don’t think we can pick which halls we want, they just get assigned on our preferences. I think in Fall is where preferences don’t matter and we can actually choose the room and building. I’m not sure though.

I submitted it in late February. I’m going to wait until Wednesday. If I still don’t have it then I’ll contact them :P

Yeah, it takes a little while for financial aid to come through, but I’d contact them just in case since they’re usually really good about getting back to you

I’m just hoping I get a normal/decent roommate since I know literally NO ONE going to UF for Summer B lol

Yea, I will :D.

Same here, I only know one person going in the Summer haha. Well are you planning to live in the traditional dorms with communal bathrooms or the suite/apartment style ones?

Oh don’t get me started!!! lol

I’m praying for an apartment style dorm, since it has a kitchen. But, I wouldn’t really mind living in a traditional dorm, it would just take A LOT of getting used to XD

Haha, I want an apartment style dorm as well! Same here, I’d rather not be in a communal bathroom but if i have to then I will. And the kitchen is always a plus!

Seriously!! Which apartment would you suggest, Beaty or Lakeside?

Well, I’m thinking Beaty. Cause Lakeside is more expensive and Beaty is mostly freshman. In Lakeside you get your own room though and in Beaty you share 2 rooms with 4 people so 2 people in 1 room. I heard Lakeside is really far from classes as well but I’m not entirely too sure.

Yeah I got kinda the same advice, probably sticking with Beaty. As long as there’s one bathroom, i don’t really care lol. One extra person per room beats 20 people to one freaking bathroom any day in my book :D
