<p>Does anybody know if rice's plans for increasing the size of the student body is beginning with the class of 2011 or will it start later? Has it been decided exactly how large the student body will become?</p>
<p>If the size increase starts with us, I have a bad feeling as to why they haven't published the acceptance rate/statistics of the incoming class yet...</p>
<p>It's supposed to increase 30% over the next decade - a slow enough change that it shouldn't make a difference in acceptance statistics. I believe they've actually frozen enrollment for the next few years though until they can provide more on-campus housing.</p>

<p>True. I read a brief publication in which the pres (i think) said they were gonna keep our class at the same level as it was last year, which was 700 and someodd. Also, I hear applications went up overall, but I don't know by how much.</p>
