Enrollment deposits deducted from student's account?

from the georgetown letter:

"The deposit will be deducted from your charges at the time of registration." and "Students receiving financial aid are still required to submit enrollment deposits, which will be credited to the student's account."

does this mean the enrollment deposit will be deducted from the student contribution? (my parent contribution is 0) or is this a side charge that is not included in the student contribution?

It will be a credit on your fall semester bill from Student Accounts. There are enough miscellaneous charges that it will get applied. If you have a full grant and zero EFC and no student liability, it could end up as a refund but I doubt that will occur. You don’t lose it, it just gets used to cover other charges. You will get billed a transcript fee, a communications fee, a Yates fee, a health insurance fee and a few others I can’t remember as I don’t have a billing in front of me.
