Entering Boarding School as a Sophomore?

Boarding schools expand the class body size considerably in sophomore year, especially the New England prep schools because so many of the feeder middle schools in New England graduate their kids in 9th grade. The schools outside New England tend not to take as many new sophomores (i.e. California, mid-atlantic, etc).

Because such a large number of new sophomores enter, the prep school have a lot of support programs in place to facilitate their successful integration.
