So a couple of weeks ago i posted a thread about my desperation in finding the program i'm looking. I would like to major in music/fil;m production, but there is no such a major. I professor of mine advised me to look into a entertainment studies major.I found a couple of places that offers it.Belmont university in nashville, CSU Fullerton, USC(business with concentration in entertainment), LMU. The thing is..all of those program are more focused on the business aspect of film, tv , music more than production.Another advise from the same professor was to major in radio film and tv production (Offered by northwestern, LMU, fullerton, syracuse, Ithaca college.....)..this way would have a little of music production(i know radio is not the same a music per say but..)mixed with film .. i need some suggestions...

Would major in RFT and minor in sound design work for you at Northwestern? Sound Design at Northwestern, an interdisciplinary program / minor

Northwestern is pretty flexible. It's possible to design your own major (ad hoc) at Northwestern. This year, they have two Rhodes Scholars and one of them majors in "History and Philosophy of Science and Logic", along with biochemistry and piano performance. The other Scholar is also a triple-major.

USC does offer a major called Cinema-Television Production and and Interactive Entertainment major. The School of Music offers a Music Industry major. Perhaps one of these could be combined with the Business Entertainment major.

I would suggest calling the Cinema Television department at SC: 213 740-2911 or the Thornton School of Music: 800 827-2213 on Monday and perhaps a staff member there might have some suggestions for you.
