Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any insights on the entomology major in CALS at Cornell. I will be transferring from a community college (not GT) and I was interested in the program. I noticed they didn't have too many students listed in their major though. So, I am guessing it is small. Therefore, does anyone know if it is possible to transfer in? And if so, around what stats I would need to have in order to be considered? Thanks everyone in advance for your comments.

Yes, you can transfer into entomology. I think you’ll need to have taken the basic biology for majors classes at your CC, and you’ll need at least a 3.0 GPA. (The 3.0 is a minimum; realistically, it probably needs to be higher.)

CALS recommends that you go for a visit before applyiing. Here’s the admissions link:

@kdmom thanks!

But does anyone know the specifics from transferring in, being an entomology major, or being in cals? Thanks

bump…
