So I realllyyy want a job as a research assistant or similarly entry-level position at a public policy think tank. I'm interested in a wide variety of public policy issues, so I'm open to institutions that study many different specifics, but I'd prefer a place that is non-partisan/independent.

I'm a recent history graduate from a top 3 liberal arts college, and am just beginning a job search in entry-level think tank positions. Does anyone have any advice? If you were able to get such a position recently, how did you do it and what might you suggest I do?
