Envelope, please

Should student assume small envelope mean 'Rejected'?

My son’s acceptance into USC’s School of Cinematic Arts many years ago was a one-pager. We thought it was just some standard letter and it sat on the kitchen table for days.

Usually yes. Though by the time you get the envelope, you’ll find out the decision in the time it takes to open the letter, so there’s no need to guess based on envelope size–just check out the contents!
Good luck with everything, hope those envelopes contain good news :D

Speaking of envelopes, I was wondering if anyone knew whether schools who send emails also send letters to accepted students? Thanks!
