Quite confused with the application part…when you apply for the EEP major, do you select it in the college of L&S or Natural Resources? If you select L&S, would it be put in the pool with applicants of other L&S majors (since they claim that all L&S majors are reviewed the same regardless of major)?
On the website, it says “Freshman students may apply directly to the major or may select the College of Natural Resource’s undeclared option, and declare the major by the end of their fourth semester.” If you apply directly to the major, would that mean you would be applying to L&S?
I’m thinking of applying to L&S, but I feel like that would be more competitive since they’d compare me with the entire L&S (with other L&S majors) applicant pool?
Some clarification would be much appreciated. Thanks!
L&S does not have direct admission to majors, so direct admission to major could only be in CNR.
Looks like a CNR student just needs to complete the prerequisites to declare EEP, but an L&S student needs also to have a 2.7 GPA to declare EEP (or a 3.0 GPA to switch to CNR):

It is not disclosed as to whether L&S and CNR are significantly different in frosh admission selectivity.
In that case, it wouldn’t be “easier” to get in by applying for EEP through CNR in comparison to applying through L&S?
Yes, if you enroll as a CNR student, it will be easier to get into EEP than if you enroll as an L&S student. Whether the frosh admission standard for CNR is higher or lower than for L&S is not known/disclosed publicly, so you cannot be sure about that aspect.
