I will like to find out the difference between environmental engineering and civil engineering specializing in environmental.

Probably little or no difference. Many colleges do not have a separate environmental engineering department and park the environmental engineering into the civil department.

Look at the required classes for each program. That will give you the definitive answer. Note that there are also differences in these programs between different colleges.

Yea, it probably varies by school. But verrrry generally, I think of Civil as mostly “above ground” construction and environmental specialty more geared toward sewage treatment and such.

Civil is broader so if you are not sure go with that. A civil engineer is qualified for environmental engineering positions but an environmental engineer will not be able to get most traditional civil engineering jobs.

Thanks for the help
