If I’m not accepted into the EOP program because my grades might be a little bit higher than what’s usually accepted, then am I completely rejected by SBU? Do I go into general admission?
Well, I also applied for Stony Brook’s EOP program and I got denied because I am “academically overqualified.” This is the email they sent me:
"Thank you for applying to Stony Brook University. Please be advised that the EOP Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and has determined that you are not eligible for the EOP/AIM program because you are academically over-qualified.
Your application will now be considered for regular decision. No new documents are required at this time."
So according to this, I’m placed in the general admission now. But I’m also worried if this will also play a role in the admission decision as this is my dream college! Hopefully, it doesn’t. Back to your question, yes, I believe you’re also put into the general admissions pool now.
Anyways, good luck, friend! I hope you get in!!! :+)
