I'm planning to take university math courses through this program, and they say it corresponds to the actual courses at Stanford itself. Could anyone who has had experience with this program comment about the quality? Is it better than taking courses at a nearby state school?

I've taken EPGY. It's pretty expensive. It's fun, as are most summer camps. If you really want to learn I'd probably suggest taking courses at a community college. If u have more specific questions u can PM me.

are you doing the online epgy or residential?

Im talking about the online courses that take 6 months to do.

my brother did epgy online precalc, and while the work was very difficult and drove him crazy (well, he looked like he went crazy to me), it paid off well, and he was over-prepared for calc at school. if you can handle it, it is well worth it. i am considering doing it myself. it matters what nearby state school you're talking about, but it is a very advanced course and you will probably get more out of it than you would taking it most other places. as i have not taken it myself i can't give you too much info, but my brother thought it was great.

I'm planning to take things like linear algebra and multivariable calculus.

no matter what course you take at epgy, it's gonna be tough and very high-quality.

Bump. Any more replies?
