Error or just the way it's done?

i got my transcripts today. In my school we get .2 added to our gpa for every AP/honors courses we take. I took 8 classes last semester, and I got straight A's. Logically, i assume my gpa is 4 + (8*.2) weighted, but my transcripts list 4.8 instead of a 5.6.

Is it because its first semester everything is only half? my graduation credits are listed as half as well.

OR is it an error I should address?

my counselor, tbh, isn't very fond of me so I don't want to ask yet..

inputs appreciated!

Counselor isn’t fond of you?
You better try to improve that relationship, he/she is going to have substantial input in your application. I would talk to him/her and try to win them over win kindness or something… lol :D

it’s too late lol. the application process is already over for me and i already got into my ED school anyways :p

oh, I wouldnt worry about it then!

Thanks. Anyone else have inputs?
Im concerned because I am the salutatorian thus far but i will be the vale if my gpa were calculated correctly

I am going to guess it has something to do with year long vs semester long courses. However, not only you gc will know the answer to this. Isn’t there a secretary or other assistant you could just ask about grade calculations?

Is your transcript giving a cum GPA for 7 semesters?

Hi mom2collegekids! Thanks for your response.

I’m not sure if it is giving the GPA for 7 semesters, but my transcript shows that I am only receiving .5 of the 1 college credit that I should be receiving.

Modadunn - The assistants at my school only answer calls. Only the guidance counselors have the info. :(
