I reviewed my common app multiple times, and somehow, I didn’t catch several typos in the activity section. I don’t think they are extremely noticeable, but it is several words. Its weird bc I had them right originally, but then I changed the order and retyped them in wrong. I submitted my application to about 8 schools EA. Will this hurt my chances? I have no typos (pretty sure) in my essays. My top school is very selective and is I think I am on the cusp of getting in, but I fear this will ruin my chances. I have good activities, excellent GPA, over 4.0 and and 32 ACT. How much will these typos affect me?
Can someone reply pls and thanks I’m really upset
Nobody here is in the admissions room so nobody can tell you anything more than you can guess for yourself. Many applications do end up having a typo or so and I can’t imagine that it would be the reason you don’t get into a college. In any event it is not worth agonizing over something that can’t be changed. Fix it for your future applications.
This question literally comes up hundreds of times each year. It’s not a big deal. If colleges rejected every applicant with a typo, they would not be able to fill their class.
Chill. Read the “clam fart” thread here. He was accepted.

sorry I just noticed today and my parents are very upset with me and are telling me I won’t get in anywhere. I don’t know what to do.
Correct it for future applications. Do nothing about the ones already sent. Good luck.
