Escaping the Wisconsin snow, chance me (for merit aid)?

Nope. Nothing at all.

Haha that’s what I thought. I looked through some of the old admission status threads and the one you want is “your application has been acted on” or something.

I’m really nervous about this whole thing, which is crazy since I usually never get nervous.

Kev,
Go to USC website. Click on USC Housing. There are descriptions of each dorm’s facilities. Included are drawings of how rooms are equipped and where beds, closets and desks are located.

There are many choices of dorms from two bed rooms, suites and even hotel type rooms at the Raddison. Use the search function as there are long threads on the pros and cons of various dorms.

The USC Housing site is awesome. I love the 360 tours.

I was looking though for more of a student’s point of view. I hear that New/North are pretty amazing dorms, along with Birnkrant. What do you guys think?

New/North are not “amazing” in any way. They’re decent dorm rooms. Better than Trojan, Pardee, and Marks Tower/Hall in my opinion because they’re a slight bit bigger, and you may have a sink in the room. New/North is popular because lots of freshmen live there and it has a reputation for lots of “social gatherings”.

Birnkrant is, hands down, the best freshman dorm. Go for Birnkrant if you can. be aware: everyone else is trying to get in there too.
