Just took it. Anyone else and would did you think?
I thought it has harder than the one in the real SAT book but wasn't too bad overall.

i cancelled my scores, i thought it was way harder. but i guess the fact that i got sick during the test might deter me from doing my best work.
does anyone know if that's a bad thing?

I took it as well. I have had 7 years of Spanish and I thought it was 'okay'. What do you think your score will be?

7 years and JUST OK???!! oh...oh.. i think i underestimated the sat 2 spanish.. yikes.

Umm - what was the deal with deaf dog?

Someone told me it was really super easy, so I was upset. I thought it was pretty hard. Much easier than the AP test, but I'm not taking Spanish this year so I was rusty about verb tenses.

i thought it was Ok, too...its just that some words crucial to getting the question right were UNCOMMON vocabulary (la beca=scholarship, etc.)

He wasn't really deaf, he just thought too sophisticated to be called regular dog names like tarzan, so he ignored his masters.

What did you guys put for number 85? That was the only one I left blank.

Number 85..uhh..I don't remember that question, except that it was the second question to the child care advertisement.

I have to agree with IB_Victim...I also underestimated the test.

Whhoooooooops...:-/

IB_Victim: Sad, but true - but I do not want to discourage anyone. Although I am in my 7th year of Spanish AND have spent 12 weeks (2 summers) in spanish school abroad - I did not think it was easy. But...then again, I am a terrible test taker. BTW, I am also in my 7th year of IB !

Obviously I had a huge advantage since Spanish is my first language and the one spoken at home, but vocabulary was awfully important here. The dog passage was funny, though annoying if you missed the point. As far as the last question, the answer was the one that said something along the lines of "for people who want to start a business". The one question that did stump me was in the passage about the EU. The options were like "a la" or just "a" or something...yea I suck at remembering.

I put a la.... but I thought that passage about EU was hard. It seemed weird how they put an english cliche in spanish - Something along the lines of "The water didn't stay still." Don't really remember.... yeah the "deaf dog" one was really weird. I thought the Juanito/Santiago (don't remember?) one was pretty easy and all of the advertisements were easy.

Good, I put that too. For the Santiago one, it took me a while to figure out which one was the oldest/younger brother. I was like ahh, it's contradicting itself. For the question about Miren, did you put that she was a girl from Portugalete?

I actually put that Miren was a friend of all the boys, not the Portugal one.

The only thing I remember about her now is that she was described as the "media novia" of the oldest boy, and that she was at the dances of Portugalete. Damn, I should have reread.

I'm not sure what the curve is for Spanish, but if it's as harsh as the IC one, that's whack.

I thought the Miren one was Juanito's love? Since they were going out and all

actually that's really possible since for the first time reading through i skipped over the name "juanito" and interpreted it to be "juanita" therefore thinking it was a girl and completely eliminating "she was a girlfriend".... yeah that was kinda dumb, but after 2 hours of testing, that's what happens

I don't think the answer was "she was his LOVE (they used love)" because she was described as "media novia", in other words, pseudo girlfriend, which doesn't really scream love to me.

Yes! I totally guessed on that one too, but don't remember the exact question.

I put Miren as "el amor de Juanito"--yes, because the word "novia" (girlfriend) was mentioned in the passage.
