Essay Before Interview?

Hey everyone, I have a small dilemma that I’m facing right now.
I have both Exeter & Andover interviews coming up in two weeks, and I’ve been busy with other essays and haven’t found the time to do theirs. They both have 2 essays each (with additional short answers) and I know that I won’t produce the highest quality work if I have so little time.
So, my question is, is it required to have an essay done before the interview? The actual due date of the essay is in 2018.
Thank you!

No the essay and the interview are unrelated. The interview is the interview. The essay is part of the application requirements.

Many kids don’t submit an application until after they visit and interview and decide which schools to keep on the list. Some schools require application first (mostly day schools near us), but most of the boarding schools don’t. Mine visited schools that came off the list after an interview. Just submit before the deadline and you’ll be fine.

@MA2012 is correct. When I was applying to boarding schools, I did not even start a single application until I had done the interviews. No use in writing an essay if, after a visit and interview, you discover that a particular school does not align with your preferences.
