<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I just finished my common app essay and somehow its reallly long. So far, its about 800+ words but it fits in the box of 6,000 characters. So I was wondering if thats fine, if it appears on the PDF format fine and that it fits in the box, would it be ok if its still over 500 words?</p>

<p>People have gotten in with essays well over the limit. If it can't be cut down without serious quality loss, and it's a damn good essay, then just go for it.</p>
