is an essay in a narrative/drama format a risk? even if i didn't write it as a persuasive essay I think did reveal a slice of myself that was not on the app through it. the subject was a rudimentary research project i did with my father when i was little (6th grade). talks about the usual (though not blatantly): continuity of life, noticing the world, father-son bonding, etc. i thought it was pretty cool. unfortunately, i dont trust anyone on CC enuff to read it but i'm wondering what the feedback is on the subject matter/format (narrative w. a bit of drama format at end (like personal non-ficion story and then scripttalk (if that's what you call it) at end)).

I don't think the format matters at all, if it displays what you want it to. Some colleges might even appreciate a quirky format, and I've seen plenty of "script talk" essays so that's not so unusual.

Jumping around between the formats is less certain, since the transition is distracting and may not be fluid.

But if you're confident in it, submit it.

your format's neither uncommon nor inappropriate. i think many colleges are seeking out students who actively take calculated risks. i wrote a burlesque.

thx guys. hopefully the narrative thing works for me.
