I was deferred in the EA round, and I'm worried that it was because of my essay. Would anyone who was accepted at Yale Early Action be willing to either critique my essay or let me read theirs? Either would be extremely helpful--I'd love to see a few essays that actually "got accepted," and help on my essay (one of the ones I sent to Yale--the other I'm trashing) would be muchly appreciated.

Oh, and if people aren't comfortable sending out their essays, I totally and completely understand. <3 I'm new to this site, but in poking around I've spotted people getting really upset about others asking for essays for fear of plagiarism, and I get that. If absolutely no one sends me an "accepted essay," I'd be perfectly okay with it--I only ask because in my area, no one has gotten accepted to Yale in over 6 years (though people end up at Harvard & other Ivies every year) so I am curious about what has gotten people in. Though, of course, essay critique would certainly be much more helpful, if anyone has the time.
