<p>I wrote my commonapp's essay and it has around 560 words. So, am I supposed to delete these 60 or leave it as it is? Thanks in advance.</p>
<p>The 250-500 word limit is more of a guideline rather than an actual cut off. Admissions will not count how many words you have. The guideline was put in place so admissions wouldn’t end up reading 10 page essays. Therefore, it is ok to have a 560 word essay.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure its fine, just keep it under 2 pages</p>

<p>Don’t worry about it. As long as those 60 extra words aren’t “blah,” you’ll be fine.</p>
