Well I'm entering my junior year and throughout HS i've developed a habit of writing in all capitals. I find it's faster, neater, and more legible for other readers than any other way of writing I've tried. So far none of my teachers have had a problem with it, as whenever I want to capitalize something I just make the letter larger than the others. However I was wondering about the SAT essay, would I be able to write in all capitals or not?

i write in all capitals as well. for the SAT's that i took, the grader didnt seem to care and i received a 9. just to be sure though, make the first letter of capital words a little bigger ;)

That's fine, as long as you make the letters a little larger if they would be capitalized in normal print -- so they can tell that you know to capitalize the first word of a sentence, proper nouns, etc. In general, whatever is easier for others to read is what you should go with!
