my essay is 608 words. they ask for 500. i really can’t cut anything out nemore. would they penalize me for going over the limit?
<p>unless it's an on-line application it wouldn't matter. They don't sit around and count the words you know...</p>
<p>An extra 20% they'd notice. I'm a BIG fan of making it more concise. I bet you could cut down at least 50 words, even if you don't get to say at much as you'd like to. Think hard about what you're trying to show, and cut out fluff that doesn't directly contribute to that.</p>
