essay questions suck!

HAHA...no...I hand wrote everything except for my essays. I did the paper application and was too lazy to get out a typewriter.

But I'm very disappointed that they took out that "favorites" section. Boy am I glad I was born in '87.

Yea seriously...what with the new SAT and not-as-fun apps, the class of 06 are really getting the short end of the stick :(

I think the app for pton class of '08 was really really long. That was when they didn't take common app, and you had to write mini-paragraphs about everything, but at least they still had the "favorites" section...

I didn't use the common app last year anyway. I thought Princeton's was prettier.

guys, I checked the Princeton website... where can I find the application forms???

Take a deep breath: the favorites section is still there! I believe it's at the bottom of the Interests page, or maybe the Activities page.

ThePolishDude, instead of application info, click Log In. Oh, and I don't think the teacher recs/school report and other forms will be online until September.

Oh, by the way this is for the online app... the links for downloadable paper app haven't become active yet as far as I know.

here is the link:
https://admissionapp.princeton.edu/DefaultWebApp/ua/index.jsp

I feel like such an a-hole.....the "favorites" section is there at the bottom of activities section. I could have swore that it wasn't there the last time I saw it, but I am sure that Princeton cannot change their application after releasing it. Sorry for givibg ya'll the incorrect info.

However, the essay questions are the ones I originally posted.

I like the essay topics and since the favorites question is still there I think it's a awesome application form :)

I'd just use the regular app. Less paper involved.

hey does anyone know when the pdf files are gonig to be available

They might not be up until September so I wouldn't hold my breath for it. I know the actual paper version didn't get to me until October, but the PDFs were definitely available at the beginning of September.

I like the questions, but I'm saying that as someone who doesn't have to answer them :p Last year's was easier, imo.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I just got back from camp, and lo and behold... THE ESSAY QUESTIONS HAVE CHANGED! AHHH!!

i already wrote my essays based on the old questions! AND THEY WERE GOOD!

moan

:(

They might only require minimal editing to work with the new topics. Or, you can use common app which gives you a "free" question, since they always have "topic of your choice"

wait... so is the supplemental essay still available?

By that do you mean the "What Else Would You Like Us to Know" form?
I think they have that every year.

Yeah... one of my essays is definitely going there.

Yea I sent one in for that form. Best of all, no word limit! Haha mine was like 800 words...I wonder if they even read it =/

so if its, like, 1500+ words... they probably won't read it?

er, not that mine is or anything... um...

Well there are people who send in writin portfolios with a couple of stories...but I don't think the admissions people read that, rather the creative writing department does...so if you're thinking of something along that line (I saw you post in the creative writing thread) I would suggest a portfolio + artist statement instead of a very long additional essay.

lol... actually, it's sorta complicated because i need the adcoms to read it, and i know that sounds wierd, lol, but i swear there's a really important reason...

lol, zant, would you mind if i PM you?
