For the supplement essays (like Duke's or Upenns) when it asks...."what do you like about the school or what do you think is unique???"....what can i write about if i haven't visited the schools????????????

I second the question (being an international student, I can't really visit the schools! :D )

You should research a ton about the school. That's what I did last year, and it worked out fine! If you read enough materials about the school, then you will start to understand a distinctive characteristic of the school, and from there you can guess what the school likes... which kind of students they look for... Keep in mind that it's easy for everyone to write the same thing. you need to take those attributes of the school and somehow connect it to your own personal interests. Or some kids choose to write one good generic essay that will work for all 7 schools they apply to in order to save time and effort.
