Hello people,
I have no idea how to write this as a topic so let me tell you my situation. Through high school (currently a junior), I struggled through the years searching for my identity. During my frosh/soph year I encountered the possibility of ENLISTING in the military and not going to college which resulted in me majorly slacking off in high school, getting me a 2.7 UW GPA currently. I was planning on going to Navy BUD/s which is a Navy training course to become a Navy SEAL. As I matured through the two years of high school I finally came to realize that college would help me mature and help me succeed after I get my bachelors degree. Would this be a good enough essay to talk about or no?

Yes you can talk about what your goals were and how they changed and what brought about that change and what actions you took in your life accordingly. Sure, good topic. Don’t make it sound like a blatant ploy to excuse your grades, though. Keep it focused on your evolution.

You think so? I’m an average student and when I look at the essays and college admissions I’m really intimidated lol… But thanks for the tips, I’m going to mainly focus it on how this goal that I had changed my perspective in general.
