Essay Topics

Anyone have any good ideas about what sort of essay to write for college admissions?
I was planning on writting about success/becoming successful, but i'm not sure if that would be apropriate.... might look like i was trying to sway the admissions person or something?
Any input?

uhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

kinda late to start....????

He's a freshman...

You don't need to think about your application essay yet..... Well, I also planned like 20 years ahead when I was in 10th grade ;)
The prompt for application essays is something like "write about an event/ a person/... and how it influenced you".
Maybe that list can help you:

the rolling stones will kick your @$$!!!111

lmao, i'm sitting here reading this listening to "Ruby Tuesday" by the Rolling Stones...
Also B@r!um, ya i'm a planner, I like to know exactly where I am and where i'm going...

We seem to have a lot in common :)

Well, while it's nice to start thinking about topics now, it's not really necessary. In the next couple of years, you might experience something that changes your outlook on life, and you won't have anticipated that. The big college essay is called the personal statement on a lot of applications, and that's exactly what it is. It's an essay about you and who you are.

Your high school experience will help to shape your identity, and as you cannot anticipate the effects of that, it's really a futile exercise to start brainstorming essay topics right now when you're only a freshman.

Of course, I'm not saying that you have to write about something that happened in high school for your college essay. Many people don't. But at the same time, a lot of people do. Your views will probably change a lot between now and when you apply to colleges.

Chances are, your college essay topic will be very different from what you're currently thinking when you finally come around to writing it.
