Essay topics?

I'm still in the process of brain-storming...but I'm positive that I want to make this essay more on the personal side. So far though, I'm having trouble recalling anything too life-changing or huge in my life.
Could something like big weightloss (40 lbs) be a good topic? Or is that too common?
There's also something else my friend told me - something like creative writing. There was an essay that someone wrote about Cranberry Bread. She wrote down all the ingredients and continued to compare each ingredient to different aspects of herself, and things around her.
Would something like that be better?
ack I'm so lost Dx

bump bump D:

Bumpbump..

you shouldn't be so concerned about creativity to that point that you begin to diverge from a topic that truly represents who you are. so put the "this is really me" topic before the creative topic, unless they happen to mesh.

Like stasis said, the essay should reveal who you are.
For me, I threw away more ideas than I can count.

Some included:
-Hurricane Ike
-Taekwondo
-Broken leg
-Visit to a foster home
-Skydiving
-My camera.

okay, thank you for the ideas (:

would it be okay to use an unusual opinion that I support? (something along the lines of "I wish life was shorter because..." or would that be too unusual? xD)

Be unique. "]

haha unusual can be interesting.

xD I'll have to keep the unusual ones away from my parents though (><)

thanks for the feedback! :D
