First of all, I'm Canadian and this is my only AP course, so bear with me.

I know that 3-7 paragraphs are recommended for each essay on the AP Lit exam, and in my class we usually just do the five paragraph hamburger formula (intro, three points, conclusion). It seems to work fine for me, but I'm worried about the time constraints. If I feel like I'll be unable to write a solid five paragraph essay in 40 minutes, should I just develop two points well? Or will that restrict me to a mark of < 7? I'm aiming for a 7+, and that's what I've been getting on my in-class essays, but it usually takes me 45-60 minutes. What format did/do you guys use to finish an essay in 40 minutes and get a good mark? Any advice? Thanks.
