<p>hey everyone, i submitted my application already but now im worried after reading forums on this site. My common app essay is too long i think, everoyne is saying 1000 is too much, but how was i supposed to know that if there was no maximum?? same on the two duke optional essays, i stayed within 2 paragraphs but they aren't short paragraphs... will this hurt me?? my rationale for all of this is they gave me no guidlines whatsoever.</p>
<p>So I applied to Duke six years ago and didn't do the optional essays at the time. So I have no idea what to say, except this:</p>
<p>You submitted them already. Don't worry about them.</p>
<p>Your common app essays are fine, and the optional essays really are optional. It's ok, don't worry about it</p>
<p>If you don't get in, it won't be because your essay was too long. This will not hurt you, best of luck!</p>
