Estimate chances + questions!

Hi,

I. Could you please estimate my chances of getting in?

1) International student from Europe studying in the IB with predicted grades 44.

2) SAT I: 2000 (620CR, 680WR, 700M)

3) SAT II: Maths Level 2: 760, Physics 790, French 800.

I'm not listing any ECs as they apparently cannot be stated on the application.

II. Now come the questions :D

Are teacher references needed and, if yes, when do I send them?

Is it true that students with French citizenship have the same tuition fees as Canadians?

3.I wish to study Economics but I am also interested in something related to science. What would be the right combination? I thought the Interfaculty fitted ideally but there are apparently only 3 programs there of which none suits me. On the faculty of science website, there is a page stating I could obtain a Bsc in science with a major concentration in Economics from the faculty of arts. However, I did not find any info on the faculty of arts website stating I could take a major concentration from the faculty of Science.(Since Economics is to be taken from the faculty of arts, not science) By the way, I wonder why I cannot just simply apply to the department of economics...

Can I freely make my own subject combinations? For instance to take one course from desautels and another one from the faculty of science? What is more appreciated: a BA Eco from the faculty of arts or maybe a Bsc from desautels?

Could you make a distinction between minors, majors, honours, concentrations etc?
Which of these are complusory and which optional?

Well, you have certainly noticed I am not perfectly familiar with the system at McGill so I would be grateful for at least an answer to one of the questions!

1) If you come with a 44/45 on the IB, then the SAT will not be considered. Plus with 44/45 you’re pretty much in, even in BiomedE.

2) Teacher references are not needed for undergraduate admissions, but for graduate admissions, yes.

reference letters and EC’s are only needed if you are applying to a major scholarship.
if you want the scholarship, once you apply online to your program, you will be provided with all the information on reference letters and etc.

hey im a current mcgill student. its a coincidence to come here. and since im stuck on my assignment now so here you go for your questions: (all answer from my previous experiences)
1 no
2 im not so sure in mcgill, but as i know for concordia university which only 2 metro stations from mcgill, yes. so i think its kinda a quebec gov policy
3 yes (my major is econ btw)
4 i dont think so. they will tell you which majors you can choose from science as an arts student
5 lol you will get it when you come here.
