I just read the Santa Clara website again (I have to say...I don't find it particularly easy to use regarding finaid....I STILL haven't found where it says that for EA applicants the Profile needs to be sent by November 15...but because they sent an email..it was done!!). Anyway...according to the website, EA students receive an estimated award offer that gives an estimate of their university, state and federal finaid awards, and the estimated cost of attendance for SCU. The site further says that the official letters will be sent in February assuming all of the forms have been filed (FAFSA and Profile). SO...I was wondering...did anyone receive an "estimated award offer" in their letter of acceptance? If anyone who is currently a student or parent of one reads this....did you or your student receive this last year, and if so, when?? We don't expect DD to qualify for any merit aid....she was not admitted with distinction. However, we do know that in the past, youngsters with similar stats have gotten small merit scholarships. Hope springs eternal here...
