I know that on the financial aid packet it said it'll cost about 45,770 for undergraduate education. But does that figure include say, health insurance, personal expenditures, required fees (i.e. first year orientation, lab fees, etc), etc?

The breakdown of the cost of attendance was in the packet thing that got sent with our Finacial Aid.

It says:

Direct Costs:
Estimated Tuition and Fees $33,373
Estimated Room $5,940
Estimated Bored $4,252
Total Direct Costs $43,565

Indirect Costs: $2,205
(Estimated costs of things that you will pay for like books, supplies, transportation, and other miscellaneous expenses)

Total Estimated Cost of Education: $45,770

So, I guess the indirect costs would include the things you were referring to.

Hope that helps?

It's about 45,000 dollars with total costs. It sounds about right.

It's rather expensive, but UR gives a lot of aid and scholarships.

I think admissions want to give the impression

Hey! I wasn't done....

it gives people the impression that we're competative. But aid is given out to practically everyone.

I don't think that includes the health insurance nor orientation fees.

the deposit pays for the orientation fees

dltprm - you mean the $45770 price tag gives people the impression that we're comeptitive? i dont quite understand that =P

The idea is that the more money that you invest in your education the higher quality education you get.

Which is sort of true here. Except for the food program which more or less sucks.

I mean the proffesors generally have PhD's from realy distinguished places and we more or less have to pay for their saleries. But yeah, generally there's a correlation between quality of school and cost.

I mean compare us to SUNY geneseo, we're probobly a little over double their costs. But we're probobly 4-5 times more academically likely to persue higher degrees and get further education.

It's still rather expensive to come here yes, but as I said before we do provide a lot of aid.

well, they do give quite a bit of aid, but i can't say that til i get the result of my appeal...but it seems that everyone who appeals got some amount of money either it be just 1 k...so no one was really rejected yet...as far as i know...
