sorry if this has been asked before, but on the SAT practice tests in the blue collegeboard book, estimated scores vary by about 100 points (!!!), it really makes a gigantic difference! so if, for example, I were to get a 660-760 on the CR section in one of the practice tests--how would you guys estimate the true score?
I understand that this varies because of the different curves, but still. should I guess something in between, like 710?

Yeah I would just average the two. In the blue book my bottom score was always like a 2000, then my high score would be a 2300, and averaged it would be around a 2150ish. I ended up getting a 2220 though so maybe a little higher.

actually i think all depends on your performance on real test. i always got 2100-2150 when taking the tests in official guide, but i got 2280 on the real test. and the queer thing is the real test i took is the most difficult sat test i have ever taken!

I just always use this

And I just score myself based on the average

I found princeton review to be a pretty good measure though maybe slightly harder. Kaplan is much easier and the real tests are always good but I think its best to give yourself higher standards. There was a line in my elementary school classroom that went something like: “if you shoot for the moon, even if you miss you’ll land among the stars”
