<p>I'm gonna be bringing an Xbox 360 and my laptop and a desktop and they're all gonna need ethernet lines, or at least 2 for the xbox 360 & desktop. How many ports does each Pentland room offer? Or am I gonna have to bring a router?</p>

<p>Ya, get a router or switch. No way they would have a bunch of ethernet jacks in the rooms.</p>
<p>i know for sure each room comes with two, but i believe ive seen some with two on each side, so 4 total. a router will not work, havent tried a switch. ResNet does not allow routers to function on their network due to security reasons… and you’ll have to give resnet your xbox’s mac address for it to connect. resnet’s located at in pentland under F building.</p>
<p>Switch should work. You can just use your computer as the main gateway, shouldn’t effect the main network.</p>

<p>on another note, torrent ports are blocked. so if you are looking to pirate movies / music / apps, I suggest getting usenet or a premium rapidshare account.</p>
