I'm applying to Eugene Lang as a transfer student, and I'm curious about my chances getting in. I was able to get in easy at Manhattan College which has a lower transfer acceptance rate than Lang, so I'm confident but still not sure. Anyone care to chance me?

I'm transferring from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. I have strong Rec's from my college counselor and my Feminist Philosophy professor. I am a white male, and I had decent essays and a strong interview with Lang. What would you say my chances for getting in are, and what kind of financial assistance can I expect from Lang?

Thanks so much for those who reply, I'd be happy to answer questions about Duquesne University if anyone has them as well :)

I honestly think you will be fine as a transfer for Eugene Lang
as long as your portfolio is good, no worries

What do you mean by portfolio? Like my rec’s and things like that?

anyone else have a suggestion?

bump. id like someone else to give me a suggestion as well if that’s cool. maybe someone who got into lang or attends school there now?

I got in with a 3.39 transfer GPA. I had a great essay and some amazing reccs.

Message me with any questions, I’m a current student.

you should do just fine! btw let me know how you like it there. I’m thinking about applying but I’m not too sure…

thanks for the replies guys, i really appreciate it! and yes i will definitely let you know how it is there when i get in. i’ll message you to give you a heads up when the semester starts and you can ask away :)

just wanted to let everyone who helped me on here that i got my acceptance letter to lang yesterday, and i seriously couldn’t have gotten through the process without you guys. if anyone has any questions for me when i start in the fall i’d be more than happy to answer them. thanks again :)

Hey! i saw that you got into Eugene Lang and I was just going to ask you for your opinion:

I’m entering UT Austin as a freshman but I’m wanting to transfer to Eugene Lang (and maybe NYU/Fordham/Barnard but Eugene Lang is my focus right now). Anywho, my high school stats were okay, I did IB diploma and I had a 3.45 gpa. I also got a 31 on the ACT. I had awesome extra curriculars and community service stuff too. (I’m starting UT with 18 hours credit, so I’ll have enough credit by december to transfer).

This semester I’m enrolled in 17 hours currently (French I, France in Popular American Culture, Fundamentals of Public Relations, Art History and Conceptual Physics). I am going to get straight A’s if it kills me. Also, I’m doing a video editing class, a photography/photoshop class and an art class outside of school. I’m going to work at my mom’s restaurant and my dad’s lawfirm and I’m also going to join a club at UT.

Do you think I have a good shot at getting in to Eugene Lang? I’m applying for a public relations major. I’m also planning to minor or double major in French.

Thanks!
