Eureka! Why didn't I "discover" these products sooner?!

Ordered the " egg thingy" ( Nordic microwaveable egg maker ) from evil, bad, Amazon.
@deb922 what is the stainless product you bought ?

I found this stainless steel spray. http://www.amazon.com/WMU-Sprayway-Stainless-Cleaner-3-15oz/dp/B007TBSM8A/ref=sr_1_3?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1440346661&sr=1-3&keywords=sprayway+stainless+steel+cleaner

It was referenced earlier, and it worked great!

^^^That price on the stainless cleaner seems really high. I’ll check how much the 3 pack is at Sams and post the price next time I’m there. But as you can see it seems to be the best cleaner/polisher on the market.
I also use the Sprayway glass cleaner on my granite countertops daily for cleaning. Another great product for just over $2 a can. I like it much better than Windex.

8 minutes in my 1000 mwave, 5 min until I peeled one. I tapped the egg all over, rolled a little bit and the shell definitely didn’t slip off and I lost a few bits. Only tried unpeeling one egg and these were bought yesterday. The yolks are firm but it seems like the whites could have used more time. (When it was out of the shell it felt a little like a soft boiled does. But the white is hard, just not to the extend I’m used to.)

But easy? Yes. And no fuss, no muss.

Loving how scientific everyone is getting with their eggs: wattage, age, positioning, etc.

On feet I like to use a cream, put a plastic bag over it, and the sock over that.

@Madison85 be sure to report about your BabyFoot experience!!!

Baby Foot Day 1 - feet had a slight, occasional tingling sensation during the day/night.

Baby Foot Day 2 - soaked feet for about an hour per expert tips in Amazon reviews. I don’t expect any peeling to occur until Day 5.

Update on little experiment: I left 2 hard boiled eggs in their shells (in a plastic bag) for several days and peeled them today. The boiled on was boiled a day or 2 before “it” arrived and was able to be used to steam/microwave eggs, and the older one was harder to peel than the one steamed in “it”. FWIW. Wasn’t a huge difference but I did lose some white from the older egg.

At meijer (Michigan based supermarket chain) the stainless steel cleaner was 3.99 and the sprayway glass cleaner was 2.19.

Mine arrived today. Had to pull out my microwave and find the model number to google to find out the wattage - 1200 - higher than I thought! Now I’ll have to figure out the timing. DS should be happy in the morning as he keeps asking me to make hard boiled eggs.

I think my microwave is 1200 watts It’s so old that I can’t even get that info from googling the model number…but I have a vague memory of being impressed with the wattage years ago when we bought the thing from Sears.

Anyway, 8 minutes works fine for me. Because the eggs themselves are not being microwaved – just steamed over boiling water – the wattage probably is not that precise. It’s just a matter of how long it takes the water to boil

So I found that 8 min is not quite enough-- need to try 9 min. Anyone know if this is different if we only cook 2 eggs?

Dang, I can’t find that stainless cleaner in my area, and that Amazon price is crazy.

I only cooked two, at 1000, and will go to 8.5 or 9 next time. The web comments are all over the place. Some say times are for four eggs and a little less for fewer, some say they worked with one. Some say water up to the fill line, others say they used a tad less. The only consensus is we each have to see what works best for us.

? This may be the cheapest Sprayway on Amazon, free shipping http://www.amazon.com/Sprayway-SW841R-Stainless-Steel-cleaner/dp/B0024CIHFM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440689878&sr=8-1&keywords=Sprayway+SW841R+Stainless+Steel+cleaner&pebp=1440689880474&perid=0S4G85XMHX0S208WASXF

@mom2collegekids, my Publix sells that Sprayway stainless cleaner. Have you checked there?

Ok, I will check there! thanks

@lookingforward Yes, I saw that. If desperate, I’ll do that, but that’s about twice the regular price. Since I own properties with stainless appliances, I will need a bunch…so I don’t want to pay twice as much if I don’t have to.

Hey if Publix sells it somewhere, they can special order it for you. They will be happy to look it up at customer servie counter. That is how I found out the 411 on the Bounce dryer bar - you can only buy it by the pallet, and stores either decided it was not profitable or some reason why it stopped getting distributed. Have to go back to the dryer sheets soon as my last bar goes dead - I would have bought up the store shelf had I known this was coming…

Sams sells a 2 pack of the stainless steel cleaner by Sprayway for $6.38.

@sosconcern Sams Club often carries the multi-pack for the dryer bars. Have you checked Target as well…and Walmart?
