any thoughts? is that above schedule a recipe for average as a sophomore?

You guys are joking right? Seriously, you should be worried about actually doing well in those classes, I think honors classes can be difficult, especially if you draw certain teachers.

i'm pretty sure i can do well in those classes.
i have good study habits.

uhh i cant take APs as a soph. AP Calc is for seniors at my school, we dont have AP Euro, and AP bio is for seniors as well. wow.

My school allows me to take only one AP class.

woot! go class of '09!

and overacheiving Asians rock!

Riverrider: Depends. A couple of us pulled it off this last year at my school (with Chem v. Bio, but AP Science), but a lot of people wouldn't have been able to.

I mean, it's all up to how you take it.

you must go to damien. in fact, i'm almost sure you do. i'm not sure who this is, but you sound like you do. private message me if you do.

River, that IS NOT an average sophomore's schedule. At least not in my school. Nobody that I know (and I know guys with 75 math PSAT in 9th) is taking Calculus AB 10th grade.
Btw, what are you going to take during your senior year?

senior year i'm taking two math classes. AP stats and differential equations, diff equat has no AP for it, but it is more advanced than any other math class and we still get the extra g.p. for it.

Don't bother with AP Stats, it's a joke at Damien. All the underclassmen who don't want to go further than PreCalc end up taking it and you'll have the worst time of your life, haha.

Yeah, I'll PM you, just a sec.

I'm just asking because I'm thinking of taking further math in community college during 11/12, since our school doesn't have anything more than calculuses. Seems like nobody else is doing this and I don't know if it would a right choice.

my cousin did that. she goes to a really really wierd school where they only have 3 classes a day and they don't offer APs. it's project based learning. it's on cal poly pomona's campus so during their junior/senior year they are allowed to take actual college courses from a university, not a jc. although, she did take advanced math classes her sophomore year at the jc. so why not just do it? i mean, it wouldn't hurt unless it brings down your other grades.
