Its as good as it looks granddad. My favorite place to go to lunch when it opened and my go to when i come back to visit evanston.

Yo - Suppa - It’s NU Grad Dad. Not a gran-paw yet! As far as I know…

nugraddad, you should have a seat…

In the meantime, Edzo’s is great. I’m a big fan of the place and have met/eaten with the owner on numerous occasions.

Another great burger place within 1/2 a mile is bopNgrill – the owner/chef, Will Song, did a great job designing the burgers and they’re all cheap to boot, too.

Has anyone used Priceline recently for hotels near Evanston and, if so, any info about which hotels you got and at what price would be great! Or any tips about nice but less costly hotels in Skokie or other nearby towns would be welcomed.

We usually stay at the Orrington, Garden Inn or Homestead, but I may try Priceline this trip and give D whatever $$ we save toward setting up her new apartment.

Congratulations to all who are about to move to Evanston!! ;-D

We stayed at Extended Stay America, Skokie last year. It was quite decent (around $55) for four of us (priceline); the price on their web site was around $100.

Well, versus five nights at ~$300/nt that we usually spend at the Orrington, a reduction to $55/night could rack up some significant cash for D’s furniture fund… thanks NorthwesternDad!!

Just wanted to bump this in case it’s helpful for families planning ahead for Wildcat Welcome and/or Family Weekend.

Here is an article that talks about town-gown relations: [The Daily Northwestern : In Focus: Northwestern-Evanston ties thrive most at the top](http://dailynorthwestern.com/2012/02/27/city/in-focus-northwestern-evanston-ties-thrive-most-at-the-top/)
